Self-Sabotage Made Simple

Most of the comments I received from my blog post yesterday were, “Huh?”

So I’m going to try to make this really simple, which is a challenge, because it’s actually quite complex.

Your unconscious mind has a lot of memories stored in it from bad past experiences (childhood or past life).

When you want to do something that’s like something that has hurt you in the past, your unconscious mind says, “No!!!”

You might be saying, “Yes!!!”

This is a conflict that sets up blocks in your life that stop you from moving forward.

Example:  I want to work.  I have a subconscious fear of working.  When I get sick, I can’t work.  I spent many years sick instead of working.  I cleared up my subconscious fears, and now I’m healthy.  Now I work.  Being sick was a “distraction” from working.  It was “self-sabotage.”  I didn’t think it was at the time.  I saw lots of doctors and I was constantly trying to get healthy.  I really wanted to be healthy.  No doctor or treatment was successful because my unconscious mind was keeping me sick.

Comprends?

I can easily tell you what you’re afraid of by looking at your Chiron placement in your chart.  I ask my clients, “Are you afraid of ____?”  They might at first say, “No,” because the fear is so deep and they’re not completely conscious of it.  Then I’ll rephrase the question and say, “Are you sure you’re not afraid of ____?”  And then they’ll say, “OMG, YES!!!!!  That terrifies me.  And I don’t know why.”

(Old anger and shame play into this too, but I’ll get to that later.  We’re complicated peeps.)

Making the unconscious conscious is the first step towards resolution.  You need to know what you’re afraid of in order to stop being afraid of it.

I will help you figure that out.  More on Chiron coming soon.
